2025 TOYOTA TACOMA: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Toyota is recalling certain 2024 and 2025 Tacoma 4-wheel drive trucks because mud and dirt can build up inside the rear wheels and damage the rear brake hoses, causing brake fluid to leak. A brake fluid leak reduces your ability to stop the vehicle and raises the risk of a crash.

2024 and 2025 Toyota Tacoma 4-wheel drive vehicles. Toyota recall reference numbers: 25TB04 and 25TA04. NHTSA recall ID: 25V058000.

What to do right now

Take your Tacoma to a Toyota dealer, where they will replace both rear brake hoses at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 1, 2025. If you have not received a letter or want to confirm your vehicle is included, call Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
