A circuit board defect may cause the rearview camera to stop displaying an image on certain 2024 to 2025 Tesla Model 3, Model S, and 2023 to 2025 Model X and Model Y vehicles, reducing your ability to see behind you and increasing crash risk. Tesla is fixing this with a free software update and will replace faulty circuit boards at no cost.

What is recalled

2024 to 2025 Tesla Model 3; 2024 to 2025 Tesla Model S; 2023 to 2025 Tesla Model X; 2023 to 2025 Tesla Model Y. All affected vehicles have a computer circuit board that may short, causing loss of rearview camera image.

What to do right now

Install the free over-the-air software update if you haven't already. If your rearview camera has failed or you suspect a circuit board issue, contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752 to arrange a free replacement of the affected computer. Reference recall number SB-25-00-001.
