Ruahouine Minoxidil Hair Serum Recall
Ruahouine Hair Growth Serum Bottles Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Child Poisoning; Violates Mandatory Standard for Child-Resistant Packaging; Sold on Amazon by Ruahouine
Updated January 15, 2026
Ruahouine 5% Minoxidil Hair Growth Serum has been recalled because its bottles are not child-resistant as required by law. Minoxidil is highly toxic to young children, swallowing even a small amount can cause serious injury or death.
Is the Ruahouine Hair Growth Serum Bottles recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on January 15, 2026. Details below.
What is recalled
Ruahouine Hair Growth Serum, sold in 60 ml (2.11 fl. oz.) transparent amber dropper bottles. Labels read "Ruahouine," "Minoxidil Hair Growth Serum," and "5% Minoxidil With Biotin." Sold on Amazon by Ruahouine.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own a Ruahouine-branded hair growth serum in a 60 ml amber dropper bottle labeled "Minoxidil Hair Growth Serum" and "5% Minoxidil With Biotin." Check your bottle's label for those exact words.
What to do right now
Right now, move the bottle somewhere completely out of sight and reach of children. Then contact Ruahouine at [email protected] for instructions: you'll be asked to pour the serum into the trash, photograph the empty bottle in the trash, and email that photo to receive a refund or replacement bottle. Do not continue using the bottle around children until the packaging issue is resolved.
Contact: mail Ruahouine at [email protected].
The hazard
The serum bottles contain minoxidil, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The serum's packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
