2025 NISSAN KICKS: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:BODY CONTROL MODULE/BCM

The 2025 Nissan Kicks may fail to warn you when the vehicle is not in Park before shutting off, which could allow the car to roll unexpectedly. Nissan will reprogram the body control module for free to fix this safety issue.

2025 Nissan Kicks vehicles with an affected body control module (BCM).

Am I affected

You're affected if you own a 2025 Nissan Kicks and the vehicle does not activate a "Shift-to-Park" warning when you shut off the ignition while the vehicle is in a gear other than Park.

What to do right now

Take your 2025 Kicks to a Nissan dealer for a free body control module reconfiguration. Contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 for dealer locations and to confirm if your vehicle is affected. Reference recall PMA42.

The hazard
