2024 to 2025 Mazda MX-5 vehicles with a defective traction control system (TCS) and dynamic stability control (DSC) indicator light due to software error.

You're affected if you own a 2024 or 2025 Mazda MX-5. Check your vehicle's model year on the registration or driver door jamb. If your traction control or stability control warning light has never illuminated during a system test, contact Mazda.

What to do right now

Contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500, Option 6, to schedule a free replacement of the DSC unit at an authorized dealer. Reference recall number 7425E. You should have received a notification letter in the mail on or after July 18, 2025.
