JJGoo LED Balloon Lights Recall: Battery Hazard

JJGoo LED Balloon Lights Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Battery Ingestion; Violates Mandatory Standard for Consumer Products with Button Cell Batteries

Updated February 19, 2026

JJGoo LED balloon lights are being recalled because children can easily access the built-in button cell (LR41) batteries. If swallowed, these batteries can cause internal chemical burns and death.

Is the JJGoo LED Balloon Lights recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on February 19, 2026. Details below.

What is recalled

JJGoo-branded LED balloon lights sold in packs of 100 color-changing, multi-color blinking lights. Each light is about 0.6 inches in diameter and comes with 200 preinstalled LR41 button cell batteries. The model number "MY1005E-Colorfu1-100" is printed on the product packaging label.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own JJGoo LED balloon lights sold in a 100-pack and the label on the packaging reads "MY1005E-Colorfu1-100." Check the package label for that model number to confirm.

What to do right now

Stop using these lights immediately and move them somewhere children absolutely cannot reach. Then throw the lights away, take a photo of them in the trash, and email that photo to [email protected] to claim your full refund. Dispose of the LR41 batteries following your local hazardous waste or recycling procedures, do not put them in regular household trash.

Contact: JJGoo by email at [email protected].

The hazard

The recalled lights violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries because they contain button cell batteries that can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. Additionally, the LED lights do not have the warnings required by Reese's Law. When button cell batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.
