2026 HYUNDAI TUCSON, 2025 HYUNDAI ELANTRA N: AIR BAGS:SENSOR:SIDE IMPACT

Hyundai is recalling certain 2025 Elantra N and 2026 Tucson (including Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid) vehicles because a B-pillar impact sensor may have been misassembled, which can delay airbag deployment. Airbags that don't deploy as intended significantly increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Certain 2025 Hyundai Elantra N and 2026 Hyundai Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, and Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. Specific VINs involved became searchable on NHTSA.gov on April 22, 2026. This recall is tracked under Hyundai recall number 299 and NHTSA recall ID 26V254000.
