2026 HYUNDAI TUCSON, 2025 HYUNDAI ELANTRA N: AIR BAGS:SENSOR:SIDE IMPACT

Hyundai is recalling certain 2025 and 2026 models because the B-pillar side-impact sensors may have been misassembled, which can delay air bag deployment. Air bags that don't deploy as intended increase the risk of injury in a crash.

What is recalled

Certain 2025 Hyundai Elantra N and Elantra vehicles, and certain 2026 Hyundai Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, and Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. Hyundai's recall number is 299. Affected VINs became searchable on NHTSA.gov on April 22, 2026.

Take your vehicle to a Hyundai dealer for a free inspection and replacement of the side-impact sensor(s) if needed. Hyundai will mail owner notification letters on or around June 19, 2026.
