2025 HYUNDAI SANTA FE: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY

Hyundai is recalling certain 2024 to 2025 Santa Fe vehicles because the positive terminal cover on the starter motor assembly may not be properly installed. If the cover is loose or misaligned, a crash could cause an electrical short and start a fire.

2024 and 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles. Hyundai's internal recall number is 285. Affected VINs became searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 4, 2025. Check your VIN at NHTSA.gov or call Hyundai to confirm your vehicle is included.
