2025 HYUNDAI IONIQ 5: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY

Hyundai is recalling certain 2025-2026 IONIQ 5 and 2026 IONIQ 9 vehicles because a bolt in the high-voltage battery system may not have been tightened properly. A loose bus bar can cause a short-circuit, which raises the risk of a fire.

Certain 2025-2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 and 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 vehicles. Hyundai's recall number is 294. Specific VINs became searchable at NHTSA.gov on February 7, 2026.
