Cumbor-branded retractable safety gates (model S5V2) have been recalled because a child's torso can slip through the gap between the gate and the floor, creating a deadly entrapment risk. The gates do not meet the mandatory federal safety standard for expansion gates.

What is recalled
Cumbor Retractable Safety Gate, Model Number S5V2, Cohort Information A202504S5V2A001. Metal frame with mesh screen, approximately 34 inches high and adjustable up to 55 inches wide. Sold in black, gray, and white; came with one or more suction cups. Model name, model number, and cohort information are printed on a label sewn directly to the mesh screen.

You're affected if you own a Cumbor retractable safety gate and the label sewn to the mesh screen reads: Model Name "Retractable Safety Gate," Model Number "S5V2," and Cohort Information "A202504S5V2A001."

Stop using the gate immediately. Destroy it by cutting through the mesh, then photograph the destroyed gate and email the photo to [email protected] to receive a full refund.
