The electronic stability control (ESC) warning light may fail to illuminate after a system malfunction in certain 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV vehicles. This could prevent drivers from knowing the ESC system is not working, raising the risk of a crash.

Contact your Chevrolet dealer at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC dealer at 1-800-462-8782 to schedule a free software update to your ESC control module. The update can be done at a dealer or over-the-air. Owner notification letters were mailed October 15, 2025.
