2025 FORD EXPLORER: BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE

The rearview camera in certain 2025 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles may stop working at speeds of 10 mph or higher, eliminating rear visibility when backing up and raising the risk of a crash. Ford will fix it with a free software update.

2025 Ford Explorer and 2025 Lincoln Aviator vehicles with affected accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software. Recall number 24C34.

You're affected if you own a 2025 Ford Explorer or 2025 Lincoln Aviator and your rearview camera image disappears when you drive at 10 mph or faster, especially when in reverse.

Contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to schedule a free software update for your accessory protocol interface module (APIM). You can receive the update either over-the-air or at a Ford dealership at no charge.
